Cool

At this age being cool is everything. Here's A wearing her lensless Justin Beiber glasses, which, apparently is the height of cool in her school with lots of the schoolchildren wearing them - why the teachers don't object I don't know, probably too worried to open their mouths to say anything in case a laugh comes out instead.

The pose is more specific to her year, they all do it for their photos now, flick through their facebook photos and this pose is all over.

But then, of course, it's all 'the thing you do', because they aren't really cool. Here's A showing her soft side, aaah. Playing with and hugging her baby cousin.

Jill and Kevin Wedding Entrance Dance

I saw this video some time ago and just loved it. What a fabulous way to start your married life! Imagine getting your family and friends to agree to dancing down the aisle for you that way. I wonder how long it took them to practice and what fun they must have had. You can see how much fun they had actually doing it by looking at their faces. What a surprise for the guests waiting for the standard wedding march.

Love it. Look at the post below to see who else loves it after watching this video!

The T-Mobile Royal Wedding

Well, if it was good enough for Jill and Kevin it's good enough for Kate and William. Here they are also dancing down the aisle with their family and friends.

Good little wiggle from Her Madge, don't you think? Nice bum bump from Charles and Camilla. But my favourite has to be Harry.

Some Things We See From Our Window

This winter there were lots of accidents outside as we live on a slopping crossroads. here's a car which got stuck. This went on for a looong time, maybe I'll post up more of this poor woman and her son we videoed (but shamefully didn't help). She did get a lot of passersby coming to her aid though, and to be fair we were out many times giving a push to someone or other who'd come to the same problem.

Not a very good picture, This is News Years Eve. We went out to toast the new year with our neighbour ringing out the old year and ringing in the new one with her bell which she does every year, and looked up to see all these tiny orange lights. This stumped up for a bit not knowing what they were till we saw another neighbour lighting a Chinese lantern to fly up and realised what the lights were. There were literally thousands. This is the first time we've seen this, everyone seems to have had the same idea at the same time!

We had one left over from the summer so let ours up into the sky to float with the other several thousand - taking our wishes with it.

Ok, here's another from that crazy mother and son trying to get free of the ice. In the end, after a very lengthy try, they abandoned the car to pick up another time.

A couple of months ago - a helicopter ambulance. I don't know what was wrong with the person they took with them.

I think in this case someone had got stuck in one of the gardens down at the bottom of the school field opposite. The firemen were called to extricate them. Then were locked in till the headteacher came out with the gate keys to free them - bet they weren't expecting to be the ones needing help!

For a dull and scruffy area we do see a lot of excitement out here. What'll be next to photo from our window??
